Mar. 29, 1927 - Oct. 18, 2016 Glenn Milton Hymer, age 89 of Vestavia, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. He was born in Huntsville on March 29, 1927 to James Milton and Birdie King Hymer. Mr. Hymer graduated from Rison High School in Huntsville and received his B.S. in Mathematics from Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Hymer served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. He was an engineer at Redstone Arsenal doing Missile Research and Development for Army Missile Command. Mr. Hymer was a faithful member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church for over 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Sara Ann Hymer; children: David G. Hymer (Hope) and Ralph M. Hymer (Buffie); his grandchildren: D. Gregory Hymer, Samuel G. Hymer, Elizabeth H. Hymer, Bailey E. Hymer and Anna K. Hymer. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 21st at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL.
