In memory of
Geraldine “Gerri” Cleveland, 82, of Windsor, passed away on February 10, 2017 at home while surrounded by her family. Born in Marietta, NC on August 2, 1934, Gerri was a faithful servant of Jehovah and member in the Windsor Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a strong and supportive single mother of six who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. Gerri set high expectations for her children and encouraged them to achieve their goals and become productive members of society. She actively participated in their lives and was enormously proud of their achievements. Gerri leaves her children, Linda and Richard, Wanda, Yvette, Charles, Rusty and Leisa, and Melani and Jay; a sister, Katherine McRae of Charlotte, NC; ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three nephews and their families; and a wealth of cousins, extended relatives, and friends, especially her dear friend for over 50 years, Rudolpho Gonzalez. She was predeceased by her mother and step-father, Lillian (Smith) Currie and Elijah Currie. Gerri’s family will receive friends at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 640 Burnham St., South Windsor on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 12 – 1 p.m., a memorial talk will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be privately held and memorial donations are encouraged to be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., 900 Red Mills Road, Wallkill, NY 12589.
