Georgia Stephanos Chiladakis October 15, 1931 - January 2, 2017 Resident of Oakland Georgia Chiladakis passed away on January 2, 2017 in Klamath Falls, Oregon and died due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was 85. Georgia was born on October 15, 1931 in Berkeley, CA to her parents, Prodromos and Marika Stephanos. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Berkeley High and attended classes as an Art and Drama major at San Francisco State University. She married Charalambos ("Harry") I. Chiladakis in 1957. The Chiladakis' lived in Oakland, CA where Harry worked at the University of California at Berkeley, and Georgia cared for the home and their two children, Athena Catarina and John Charalambos. She dedicated her time to caring for her home and family. Georgia was a sweet, kind, loving, quiet, patient and supportive person with a smile that would light up a room. She had a passion for reading and the arts. She had a beautiful singing voice and would always sing while going about her work. She had a special gift for inspiring creativity and imagination in others. She was the heart of family activities and get-togethers for many year and was known as the keeper of the family memories. Georgia is survived by her husband Harry, daughter Athena of Tulelake, CA, her son John, and daughter-in-law, Lisa of Davis, CA,; her brother Steve Stephanos of Lafayette, CA; and by three grandchildren Megan, Charalambos (Chase), and Alexandra as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces all of whom held a special place in her heart.. She is preceded in death by her sister Agapi Levas.
