GEORGE F. TAGLIAPIETRA
Tagliapietra, George F. 89, passed away in Anaheim, CA, on October 6, 2016, from complications due to Parkinson's and cancer. He was the youngest of seven children, raised on a dairy farm in Eden, Wisconsin. George joined the US Army and served in Germany during WWII. He was a loyal employee at Beckman Instruments for 31 years then continued in the electronics industry until his retirement. George proudly served on a credit union board and was also an ombudsman for the City of Anaheim. He was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. After retirement he was involved at the Anaheim Senior Center and in recent years sang with the OC Tremble Clefs, a singing group for those with Parkinson's Disease. George was a loving and engaged grandfather who attended his grandchildren's sports, school events, and special occasions. He was a true gentleman who was respected and loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and community. He is survived by his wife, Judie Quinlan; brother Bruno; daughters Diane (Rick) Ashby, Jean Tagliapietra (Rich Fabiano), and their mother, Cary Tagliapietra; step-daughters Kim Gudyka (Ron), T.T. Quinlan, Terrie Lynch (Derek Teague); grandchildren Sarah, Monica, Michelle, Brian, Christina, Stephanie, Marti, Hanna, Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
