Age 82, of Roseville A member of the pioneer Sullivan family of Columbia Heights, he was surrounded by loving family as God granted his heavenly wings on October 18, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, John and Rose Sullivan; brothers William and James; godchildren, Catherine Dahl and David Ashlin. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia (Fergus) Sullivan; children, Georgia (Frank) Kopp, John (Kim) Sullivan, Denise (Tim) Bien and Richard (Jean) Sullivan; 9 grandchildren, Frank, Joe, Melissa, John, Dan, Kristina, Kelli, Kelsey, Amber and Spouses; 11 great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jayden, Jacob, Mason, Hayden, Collin, Brynn, Bryce, Thomas, Payton and Abigail. Also survived by his brother, Harold and sister, Marion Ashlin, many nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. He was a Korean War Coast Guard Veteran, retired from American Can Company after 36 years, in the United Steelworkers Union and served for 20 years on the Roseville Fire department, ascending to the position of District 2 Chief/Deputy Chief. Visitation at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Avenue N. Roseville, MN 4-8PM on Thursday, October 20th. Mass of Christian Burial at St Rose of Lima Church, 2048 Hamline Avenue N, Roseville, MN on Friday, October 21st at 10AM with visitation 1 hour prior. Luncheon to follow. 2PM interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. "It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home."
