George "Bill" William Quickle George "Bill" William Quickle, 75, of Palm Springs, Ca. and Manhattan Beach, Ca., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his home in Palm Springs. Born on June 1, 1941 in Oklahoma, he lived most of his life in California near the beach or the desert. Bill was a passionate man who enjoyed working with his hands. For more than 45 years, he was the Owner of GQI Classic Brass, plating shops located in Culver City and Palm Springs. He eventually sold his businesses and retired to Palm Springs to pursue his other interests. Bill absolutely loved classic cars. He was an accomplished craftsman completely restoring several Rolls Royce and Bentley's from the bottom up which were later sought after by collectors. He was an avid golfer, former surfer, a cribbage master and a mean drummer having played in his fair share of bands. Bill was a generous and kind soul with a quick wit and great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Constance "Connie" Marie Quickle. Bill was a devoted father to his two daughters, Donna Cwiok and Debbie Marble, a loving grandfather to his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Georgeann Quickle and many dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
