George Kline Jr.
George A. Kline Jr., 70, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, in his Spring Twp. residence. He was the husband of Maryanne (Palmieri) Kline. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George A. Sr. and Jeannette (Wetzel) Kline. George was a 1964 graduate of Reading High School. He also attended Kutztown University. He was employed as a car salesman for 34 years at Tom Masano. He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Reading. George loved his church and sang in the church choir. George was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard of Pennsylvania, Army Reserve and Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment 337th Maintenance Battalion. He loved bicycling, music, the Philadelphia Phillies and going for breakfast. Most of all, he had a great sense of humor. George was a member of Reading Liederkranz (German Club). In addition to his wife, George is survived by a son, Matthew G., husband of Kelsey (Hracho), Shillington; a daughter, Mitzi (Darbo), wife of Chris Cote, Mohrsville; a brother, Barry P., husband of Lynn Kline, Spring Twp.; two sisters, Priscilla L., wife of James Klusewitz, and Cheryl, wife of Ronald Care. Three grandchildren: Alexus, Dominique and Katalina; one brother-in-law, Thomas Palmieri, and several nieces and nephews also survive him. Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
