George E. (Bud) Goldner Jr.
George (Bud) E. Goldner, Jr. AGE: 93 • Wilmington Bud Goldner, husband of Margaret Goldner passed away Friday, Oct 7, 2016. A lifelong resident of Wilmington, he served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and retired from Western Electric and Bell Telephone Company. For many years Bud was an active member and treasurer of St Marks Methodist church and a member of the "Odd Fellows." Bud was a talented bowler, pinochle player and enjoyed fishing, golf, the Phillies and Eagles. He is preceded in death by his first wife Gertrude and son Alan. He is survived by daughters Sandra Murphy (Tim), Lynda Moore (Charley), and Ruth Pyle (Don); eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, his brothers Ernest and Robert of Wilmington, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation begins at 10:00, service at 11:00 on Wednesday, Oct 19 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilm., DE with interment in Silverbrook Cemetery.
