George Eugene Davis 1950 - 2016 George Eugene Davis was born on August 20, 1950 in Toledo, Washington. He passed away suddenly on September 16, 2016 and has left a hole in the hearts of all those who knew him. George was a self-taught builder, welder, electrician, mechanic, and pipefitter. George built three homes for his family, along with a giant play structure and a homemade swimming pool, which provided hours of entertainment for the entire family. George was a family man and met the love of his life, Neila Davis when he was just 16 years old. They married when both were 18 and had five children. George had always loved Alaska and finally convinced Neila to make the move to Ketchikan after getting hired as a millwright at Ketchikan Pulp Mill in 1990. George had a huge personality and was a born story-teller. He constantly kept us all laughing and entertained. He also had a love of history, politics, and economics, but his favorite thing in the world was to take his grandkids out fishing. George was preceded in death by his father, George Gilbert Davis; his mother, Mary Jane Davis; sisters, Sally Allphin and Lucille Tadlock; brother, Bill Davis; and his beloved Russian weiner dog, Stella. George leaves behind his loving wife, Neila Davis; brothers, Gary Miller, Delbert Davis, and John Davis; sister, Debbie Davis; daughters, Gerri Davis, Frankie Urquhart, and Chancey Davis; daughters-in-law Stephanie Davis and Katlyn Brooks; sons, Wade Davis and Andy Davis; son-in-law, Bill Urquhart; grandchildren, Atreyu Davis, Liam Urquhart, Neila Urquhart, Torran Urquhart, Kinsey Urquhart, Brooke Davis, and Adam Davis. George also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and other relatives who were very dear to him, including his brother-in-law, Lance Davis, whom he fondly referred to as his "oldest son." George had a quick wit, an incredible sense of humor, and a very large heart. He was loved by many and has left a legacy of love, family, and great stories. In lieu of flowers, he would ask that you vote for Trump.
