George John Carbone Jr.
Carbone, Jr., George John George John Carbone Jr., West Nyack, N.Y. died peacefully in his sleep October 10, 2016. The loving husband of fifty years to Alice I. Carbone (Figlock) late of West Nyack, he is survived by his four daughters, Alethea B. Pratt, West Nyack, Dorinda M. Mittiga, Congers, Ursula A. Carbone, New City and Melissa I. Carbone, West Nyack, his sister, Phyllis Duffy, Venice, FL, five grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. Mr. Carbone was born in Brooklyn to George J. Carbone Sr. and Mae J. Clark and was raised in Bayside, Queens, NY where he earned his Eagle Scout badge and was an assistant Scout Master to the Queens Council. He served honorably in WWII as a Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corp., graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Queens College of the City of New York and received his Master's degree from St. John's University. He had a long and distinguished career in the Chemical, Printing and Packaging Industries retiring from Continental Extrusion Corp. in 1993. A Tridentine funeral mass will be said for Mr. Carbone at 10:30 a.m. on October 20, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 128 Parrott Rd., West Nyack, NY.
