Geneva Kathryn (Krehbiel) Flickner died Tuesday (Oct. 11, 2016). She lived 84 years. She was born Nov. 8, 1931, daughter of Menno and Olga (Schrag) Krehbiel. She grew up on the family farm with her parents, two brothers and one sister. Geneva was the oldest, followed by Clint, Dennis and Karen. She married Arlo O. Flickner on May 14, 1953. Geneva was an award-winning artist. Geneva started and developed the art department in Moundridge schools, where she taught art 26 years. She also taught art classes for Wichita State University, McPherson College and Sterling College. Survivors include husband Arlo, Moundridge; sons Dennis (Diane), Newton, Greg (Pam), Deepwater, Missouri, and Rollin (Kay), Moundridge; grandchildren Katie (Greg) Killin, John Flickner and fiancée Katelin Goddard, Molly Flickner and Abby (Martin) Flickner Banda; great-granddaughter Haddie Killin; brother Clint (Marge) Krehbiel, Aberdeen, Idaho; sister Karen (Dick) Keefer, McPherson; and many nieces and nephews. Geneva's parents and brother (Dennis) preceded her in death. Committal service will be 10 a.m. Monday (Oct. 17, 2016), Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. at Eden Mennonite Church, followed by fellowship luncheon. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 16, 2016), with family receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Village and Eden Mennonite Church in care of Moundridge Funeral Home.
