In memory of
Geneva "Jenny" Dennet
Geneva ""Jenny"" Dennet was born on April 12, 1946 in Buras, Louisiana. Jenny entered eternal life on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Her spirit is carried on by her three children: Cynthia Scaruffi (James), Eugene Short (Melissa), and Troy Benner; her nine grandchildren: Johnathan Dix, Sr. (Heather Oglesby), Donavan Fernandez, Sarah Scaruffi, Troy Welp, Sawyer Short, Ronnie Rhoto, Peyton Latham, Layla Benner, and Michael Benner; and her two great-grandchildren Johnathan Dix, Jr. and Scarlett Cooley. She is also survived by two siblings: Barbara Bordelon and Jose Dinet and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Jenny was always the life of the party. She was feisty and fun. She was a woman who believed in putting her family first and she loved them wholeheartedly. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Jenny during her 70 years, among them: it's never too late to dance, you can't use Mardi Gras cups for your house because it just isn't classy, and that life is always better with a cup of coffee and a clean house! Jenny is now reunited with her sister and favorite dance partner, Pamela Casanova and granddaughter Kayla Melerine. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. To view and sign the online guest book, please visit www.muhleisen.com
