Gene D. Friesen
Gene D Friesen, 61, of Fort Lupton, went home to the Lord Sept. 28. He was born to Levi M. Friesen (deceased) and Linda Ann Dirks Friesen Brown (deceased) April 1, 1955, in Newton, Kan. He loved his family and loved making his nieces and nephews laugh. He also loved Mountain Dew, the Broncos and old Westerns. He had various careers, including maintenance worker, carnival barker, custodian and asset protection at Wal-Mart. He left Wal-Mart in December 2014 due to health issues. Survivors include his brother, Wayne Friesen (Linda), of Hillsboro, Kan.; sisters, Paula Larson, of Fort Lupton, and Gwen Ceretto (Mike), of Fort Lupton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at First United Methodist Church of Fort Lupton, 306 Park Ave. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to First United Methodist Church, 306 Park Ave., Fort Lupton 80621, attention Stain Glass Windows Fund.
