GAVIN YASUTOMI Gavin Yasutomi, 39, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016. He was was born March 17, 1977, in Hilo, Hawaii. He worked 16 years as the beloved head bartender with Outback Steakhouse on the south Strip and previously with their Rainbow Blvd. and Pecos locations. He was cherished and valued by his Outback family and his regulars for many years. He loved hiking at Red Rock and surrounding areas of Las Vegas and his favorite past-time was going to Disneyland with friends and family. He earned his bachelor's in marketing from UNLV when he first came to Las Vegas in the 1990's. No one will ever forget Gavin's generosity to those close to him or his spirit for adventure and vitality for life. He was the most loyal and dedicated friend anyone could have and his love for doggies was unprecedented. Truly this was a son, a brother, a friend, taken away far too soon. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Ann Yasutomi; his sister, Terri Lyn Yoshioka; and brother-in-law, Cy Yoshioka. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, with memorial service following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 1401 S. Rainbow Blvd.
