Frederick S. Bailey
Frederick S. Bailey, Sr. went home to his Lord on Jan. 8, 2017 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Bailey was predeceased by his parents, Everette & Ruth Bailey; brother, Everette Bailey, Jr; and grandson, Alex Bennett. Mr. Bailey was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving with honor. He worked different jobs over his years and retired in 1998 from DuPont, Seaford after over 20 years of service. He married his wife of 57 years, Patricia Sowers Bailey in 1959. Mr. Bailey was born in Rock, WV in 1937. He was a servant of the Lord in many ministries including being active in the Delaware Baptist Association coordinating the State Fair Ministry, Disaster Relief, missions trips to West Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and at 9/11 in New York. He was a deacon at London Village Baptist Church and a former member of the Harrington Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and His people. He leaves behind his wife, Patricia; daughter, Rhonda Anderson; sons, Fred Bailey, Jr. (Lori), Bill Bailey (Renae); and grandchildren, Nicholas Bailey (Linda) Derek Bailey (Amber), Erin Bailey (Michael) Kristin Bailey (Eric), Adam Bailey, Zachary Bailey and William Bennett; great-grandchildren, Conner, Roselyn and soon to be #3. Funeral Thursday, January 12, 2016, 11 a.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE. Friends may gather starting at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors, Thursday, 1 p.m. at Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
