Fred "Carl" STICKNEY
STICKNEY, Fred "Carl" Carl Stickney, a man of uncommon strength, great love and profound faith, died October 8, 2016 in Kenneth City. He was 69. A St. Petersburg native, he graduated from Boca Ciega High School and St. Petersburg Junior College. He was an Army Vietnam War veteran. He worked for Florida Power and Misener Marine before moving to North Carolina, where he owned a welding and fabrication business in Franklin. A devout Catholic, he and his wife of 40 years, Patricia, worked 22 years in faith formation at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Franklin. In addition to Patricia, survivors include: three daughters, Rachel Miller (Hugh), Houston, Tracy Fero (Shari), Dunnellon, and Erin Stickney (Geoff), Asheville, NC; a son, Craig (Kim), Juno Beach; 10 grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Smile Train. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, Tyrone.
