Frank R. Trotter Reinsurance executive, Army veteran, lived most of his life in New Jersey Frank P. Trotter, 87, passed away on April 2, 2017. Frank was born in Jersey City, N.J., to Frank and Mary Trotter, living most of his life in New Jersey before joining his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren in Virginia. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Brigitte, and his sister, Susan. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Wattendorf and her husband, Daniel Wattendorf, and his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Katelyn, Lauren, and Cody. He was a vestryman and member of the men and boys choir of Christ Church of Bloomfield/Glen Ridge, N.J., for over 20 years. Frank graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1947, after which he joined the Army, serving during the Korean War with the 25th Infantry Division. Frank graduated from Upsala College in 1957, with a B.A. in history. He was the editor of his college newspaper as well as a member of Theta Epsilon Omicron Iota fraternity. After 26 years of service with the North American Reassurance Company as a senior life underwriting officer, he retired in 1987. Frank had many hobbies, including the building of precise military ship and aircraft models. He was also a skilled ballroom dancer, enjoying many international competitions.
