ORABONA, FRANK L.S., 66, of Cranston passed away peacefully on Friday morning, October 14, 2016. He was born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Louis and Pascalena Orabona. He was the beloved father of Jodi Veloso and husband Michael of Cranston, Frank Orabona of Providence, and Jaime Zinno and husband Paul of East Greenwich. He is also survived by his grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Veloso, whom he loved very much, his former spouse of many years Carole Orabona, his sister Margaret Langello and husband Anthony of Warwick, and his niece Toni D'Antonio and husband John of Brooklyn, NY. Frank was interested in advertising and publishing at a young age as he worked for various advertising agencies and newspapers. He then started his own advertising and publishing company, Tabloid Publications, Inc. He operated a successful business for over 30 years and was well respected by his business associates and friends. He built many relationships through his business that lasted his entire life. Frank's love and passion was always music. He started a band at a young age, the Promissory Notes. In later years he continued to entertain the family by singing. He was also devoted to the church and had many friends in that community. Frank was an enthusiastic New York Giants and Yankees fan and never missed a game. He loved celebrating the holidays and embracing Italian family traditions. Frank will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love of pranks, dedication to instilling strong morals and ethics in his children and his spontaneous wit. His funeral is Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Drive, Cranston.
