In memory of
Frank Morello, 68, of Hampden passed into the hands of the Divine Mercy on April 13, 2017 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City surrounded by his loving family as they prayed for him. Frank, son of the late Giovanni and Santa Morello, was born in Cattolica Eraclea, Sicily on September 4, 1948. He immigrated to the United States aboard the Andrea Doria in 1955 with his parents and 3 brothers. He was a local business owner for many years. From 2001-2015, Frank was a Sales Representative for Techo-Bloc Corporation. His favorite past time was playing cards, especially scala games on Mondays and poker games on Wednesdays with his brother and very good friends. He also enjoyed watching Fox News, and most of all going on vacation every summer to Wildwood, NJ with his family. Sunday dinners were a favorite tradition where he sat literally and figuratively at the head of his family. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother; Anthony Morello, and his sister-in-law; Kathy Colucci. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his beloved wife of 45 years; Ann, his sons; John and Vito Morello of Wilbraham, his daughters; Santina Morello-Shumway of Hampden, and Lucy Bianchi and her husband Randy of Hampden, his sister-in-law; Pierina Morello, his brothers; Liborio Morello and his wife Lilla, and Joseph Morello and his wife Maria, his grandchildren; Frank, Ann, and Leo Bianchi, and Ann Shumway, his brothers-in-law; Nicholas Colucci, Salvatore Colucci and his wife Joanie, and Vito Colucci and his wife Maria, many cousins, nieces, and nephews many of whom were like children to him. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1PM to 4PM and 5PM to 8PM at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 beginning at Sampson’s at 9AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 27 Somers Rd., Hampden, MA at 11AM. Burial will be private.
