Frank Prentiss Hammond Greenville Frank Prentiss Hammond of Greenville died April 17, 2017. He was born in Greenville on July 1, 1927, the son of the late Eugene Willard and Wilma Prentiss Hammond. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and Clemson University, class of 1948, and was a Realtor and Developer in Greenville for most of his life. He was a member of the Cotillion Club, the Poinsett Club, the Pawleys Island Yacht Club and former President of the Clemson University Real Estate Foundation. He was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by Gov. David Beasley in recognition of his many years of service on the South Carolina Real Estate Commission and as its Chairman from 1994 - 1997. He is survived by his very special friend, Jane Taylor, and his three children; a daughter, Caroline Stephenson and son-in-law, Keenan Stephenson, of Columbia, SC; a daughter, Ginger Cebe and son-in-law John Cebe; a son, Frank P. Hammond, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hammond, all of Greenville and six grandchildren; Callie Miley, Hal Miley, Jack Cebe, Virginia Cebe, Frank "Tee" Hammond, III (Laurel) and Ann Lawrence Hammond. He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne Moseley Hammond; sister, Mary Gage Hammond Dobbins; and brother, Eugene W. Hammond of Atlanta. The memorial service will be at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, with family and friends gathering immediately thereafter at the Poinsett Club to celebrate Frank's life and his 90th birthday.
