Frank Thomas Halpenny Olive Branch, MS Loving father and husband, Frank Thomas Halpenny, age 90, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Born in Huron, South Dakota on July 10, 1926, he enlisted in the Marines at age 17 during WWII. He was a radio operator in charge of protecting Navajo code talker, Ira Hayes. After his marine service, he eventually went to work for RCA television servicing in Chicago, IL, where he met and married the love of his life, Betty Ann Halpenny, on January 11, 1954. He transferred with RCA to Memphis, TN in 1966, where he retired from RCA after 39 years of service. He was a life member of the Anderson Jordan Marine League and faithfully attended Central Church. His faith and integrity were demonstrated throughout his life. His sense of humor was one of his greatest gifts. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ann Halpenny, and children: Susan Marie Halpenny and Bruce Olen Halpenny; daughters-in-law, Melonie Hudson Halpenny and Melanie Sims Halpenny; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Halpenny, Michael Halpenny, James Halpenny, Lilly Halpenny, Maggie Halpenny, Alex Sims, and Zachary Sims; and great-grandchildren, Samantha Halpenny, and James T. Floyd. He was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Thomas Halpenny. The family will receive friends Friday, October 14, 2016 from 6-8pm and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10am, all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS. Interment will be held at Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas, AR at 3:30pm on Saturday.
