Francis “ Red “ J. Crowley, 81, passed away Sun. in the VA Medical Center in West Haven, CT. He was born Feb. 11, 1936 to the late Joseph and Elva Crowley. Red served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a forklift operator at Longview Fibre before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed trips to the casino, meeting friends for coffee at the Koffee Kup, walking, traveling and weekend day trips with his wife Eileen. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially going to any of his grandchildren's events. Red leaves his loving wife Ellen “Eileen” (Keohane), two sons; Joseph Crowley of Agawam and Kevin Crowley and his wife Mary of Ludlow, his daughter Eileen Crowley Sullivan and her husband Patrick of Westfield, his grandchildren; Daniel, Erin, Brian, Hannah, Sean, Connor and Meaghan, his sisters Grace Kelley and Barbara Crowley both of S. Hadley, along with several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Cornelius Crowley. Funeral Services and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
