Francis James Clark
Francis James Clark Thousand Oaks, CA Francis (Frank) Clark, 81, of Thousand Oaks, CA entered into eternal rest on October 6, 2016 surrounded by his loving family and dogs. He was born on April 12,1935 in Forest Hills, NY to James and Eva Clark. Frank had been married to his wife Barbara for 36 years. Frank was proud to have served his country in the Navy for 6 years. He graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn with a BS in Electrical Engineering and later graduated from UCLA with a Master's degree, also in Electrical Engineering. He spent the majority of his career with Hughes Aircraft in the Aerospace Industry. Frank and his family were proud of his commitment and dedication to the Friends of Bill W. where he mentored many people through their journey and would have had 30 years as a friend himself in November. Frank has been a huge LA Dodgers fan going back so far as to when they were the Brooklyn Dodgers in NY. (GO BLUE!) He was a big fan of the great Jackie Robinson. Anyone who knew Frank knew his dogs Layla and Lucy. They were part of his family and he loved them dearly. He could often be seen taking them to the Dog Park. Frank's love of dogs and people with illness and disability lead him to become a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Love on a Leash and Guide Dogs of America helping build homes and doing volunteer training for hospital and service dogs. Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara Herth Clark, his children Kenneth Clark, Frank Clark, Robert Clark, Christopher Clark, Jenny Clark King, Zoe Stamolis, Gary Thrasher, Barbara Beck, Roger Jepsen, Mark Jepsen, Sj?hn Jepsen, dogs Layla and and Lucy, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Frank was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Carol Christman Clark, and his brother and sister-in-law Jim and Loretta Clark. The Memorial Service is November 6, 2016 at 5:30pm located at Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge #2477 158 Conejo School Rd. Thousand Oaks, CA 91362.
