Frances K. Miglis
Frances K. Miglis, 90, of Center Rutland, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her family. Frances was born in West Rutland on May 22, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Sgarek) Kramarz. She was a graduate of West Rutland High School and Rutland Business College. Frances was employed with the FBI in Washington, DC, during the latter part of World War II. She retired from Central Vermont Public Service Corp. after 23 years of service. She was a member of the Rutland Town Planning Commission, served on the Board of Auditors and was a lecturer and a member of the St. Stanislaus Parish Council Committee. Survivors are her husband of 68 years, George Miglis; daughter Marlene Stuart (R.E. Lee) of Roswell, GA, son Mark Miglis (Susan), of Danvers, MA; grandchildren Laura and Greg Miglis; brother Walter Kramarz, of Bristol, CT; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ted; sisters Mary, Irene and Bernice; grandson Robert E.L. Stuart IV. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or RAVNA Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
