A Funeral Service will be celebrated Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Frances Till Haymon, 80, who passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her residence in Lafayette, surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be observed on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 9:00 am until the time of services, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette. Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette. Pastor Charles E. Banks Sr. of Fellowship Full Gospel Ministry in Lafayette, will officiate. Frances was born June 23, 1936 in Crystal Springs, MS and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. She graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Frances worked as a disaster relief coordinator for the American Red Cross, for 27 years. She was a parishioner of Fellowship Full Gospel Ministry in Lafayette. Frances was dedicated to her mission in life, with her service to the Armed Forces, with the American Red Cross, as a disaster relief coordinator and performed volunteer work for Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina, as well as several other disasters. She was an avid reader and enjoyed teaching her grandchildren to swim. Most of all, Frances loved spending time with her family and friends. Frances is survived by one son, Todd Lionel Haymon of Lafayette; two daughters, Angela Jayne Haymon and Rae Jeane Haymon King Broussard Haymon Elliott, both of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Victoria Ray Denton Pierce, Christina Marie Denton Ganier, Jordan McWaters, Benjamin David King, Elizabeth Wayne Denton and Madison Jayne Broussard; two great-grandchildren, Michael Everett Pierce and Matthew Lavert Pierce; the father of her children, Dorman Ray Haymon and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Morris and Ollie Mae Till and her sister, Betty Jayne Theriot. Pallbearers will be Todd Lionel Haymon, Clint Stokes, Chris Domingue, Bruce Cook, Brock Elliott and Michael Ganier. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Acadiana for the compassionate care given to Frances and her family.
