Frances Rita (Vaughn) Boenigk Evansville, Ind. Frances Rita (Vaughn) Boenigk, 94, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Evansville Protestant Home. She was born February 14, 1922, to the late John and Cecilia (Schick) Vaughn. Frances was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She is a 1943 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree from the School of Pharmacy. Frances served in the US Women's Army Corp. as a pharmacist in Hot Springs, Alaska. She retired in 1984 from St. Mary's Medical Center as I.V. Admixture and Pharmacist. She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, playing bridge, classical music, and traveling. She is survived by three sons, Larry Boenigk of Evansville, John Patrick Boenigk of Evansville, and Brian William Boenigk of Indianapolis; daughter-in-law, Paula Boenigk of Evansville; grandchildren, Stacia Warren (Christopher) of Evansville and Alex Boenigk (Lisa Mullaley) of Nashville, Ind.; great-grandchild, Mischa Boenigk; brother, Louis P. Vaughan of Lafayette; and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Boenigk; son, Michael L. Boenigk, and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 5 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. 47714. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church 3010 E.
