Floriberto Perez Leon, 61, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on October 15, 2016. He is survived by his wife Narcisa of 38 years, daughters Olga (JR) Ortiz, Sylvia Leon, sons Javier (Rachel) Leon, Miguel (Jessica) Leon, and seven grandchildren (Alexandria, Isaac, Isaiah, Nathaniel, Anissa, Lilah and Mila). Floriberto was a loving husband, exemplary father, caring grandfather and unconditional friend to all. Born in Michoacán, Mexico, Floriberto spent the majority of his life calling Porterville his home. He worked as a farm laborer and maintained his love for agriculture until the very end. His greatest pleasure was tending to his bountiful garden of vegetables and flowers. He enjoyed traveling to new and old places and most of all making friends. Floriberto was a kindred spirit; he will be remembered for his comical perspective of life. And although, the Lord called for him at an early age, he was given the opportunity to live his life to the fullest. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm, and rosary will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19th at Myers Chapel. Holy Mass will take place on Thursday, Oct 20 at 9:00 am at St. Anne's Church. Floriberto will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. To sign the family guest book or send condolences please go to www.myersfuneral.com.
