Rutledge , Flonnie Ola of Clio, age 82 went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 14, 2016. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Monday, October 17, 2016 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Jason Bearup, her grandson, will officiate. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7PM and Monday from 10AM until the time of service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice of Swartz Creek. Flonnie, affectionately known as Ola was born in Haleyville, Alabama on June 28, 1934, daughter of the late Mayfield and Marcie (Alexander) Langley. She married Ruben Rutledge August 9, 1952 in Mississippi. Traveling with him during his military career and then settling in Michigan, she and Ruben began their family. Ola was committed to raising her children in the roots of her Christian faith. She was an active member of North Flushing Baptist before she became ill. Childhood experiences brought passion to gardening and harvesting of her bounty. Her family cherished all of the canned and frozen goods, but her peaches were everyone's favorite. Surviving are: 3 children: Sheila (Chuck) Siegel of Grayling, Rocky (Lenora) Rutledge of Romeoville, IL, and Connie Rutledge of Greenville; 8 grandchildren: Melissa, Aaron, Chucky, Jason, David, Megan, Candy and Amy; 13 great grandchildren: Alex, Jacob, Raelyn, Brodey, Maya, Elijah, Quinn, Joey, Rayna, Wyatt, Reid, Ella and Mazy; Sister in law, Juanita (Ray) Shelby of Montrose; Many nieces, nephews and friends. Ola was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben; Great grandson, baby Drew; Sisters: Lola, Glennie and Ann; Brothers: Roy and O.C.
