Felix Ivey Jr.
Felix Ivey, Jr., age 86, of the Fincastle community passed away Thursday, Oct. 6. He was a member of Glade Springs Baptist Church. He was a farmer and owned and operated Ivey's Slaughter house all of his life. He also worked at Woodson's Store and Y-12 in Oak Ridge. He was one of nineteen children born to Felix Ivey, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Mae Goins Ivey; father and mother, Felix Ivey Sr. and Matilda Janie Houston and stepmother, Trecie Russell Ivey; brothers, Everette; Clarence; Robert; Spencer; Odeva; Taylor; Henry; Phillip; Avery; sisters, Deborah Bland and Faye McKay. He is survived by brothers, Ike and Paris; sisters, Lucy; Elizabeth; Alice; Becky and Hazel. A host of other family and friends. Services were held Sunday, Oct. 9 in the Cross-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ovid Bolton officiating. Interment was in Victory Cemetery. Cross-Smith Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
