Evelyn F. Thuemmler
Thuemmler, Evelyn F. Evelyn Florence Thuemmler, age 93, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Harvest Home Assisted Living in Howards Grove. She was born in Plymouth on February 13, 1923, the daughter of the late Elwood L. and Irma V. Schreiber Fiedler. Evelyn attended local schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1942. On June 29th 1946, she was united in marriage to Ernst A. Thuemmler at the St. John the Baptist Parsonage in Plymouth. Ernst preceded her in death on October 15, 2008. Evelyn was employed as a stenographer for the Kohler Company, and she also worked part-time at J.C. Penny, until her retirement. She was a current member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and a volunteer at Bethesda. Evelyn enjoyed doing ceramics at the Senior Center, dancing, sewing, and baking - especially during the holidays. Survivors include her five daughters; Carol (Wesley) Plummer of Colorado, Joni White of Sheboygan Falls, Lois Thuemmler of Madison, Mary (Kevin) Nierode of Colorado, Sharon (Richard) Roob of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Crystal (special friend Kyle) Roob, Sarah (fiancée Jason) Roob, Laura (Dustin) Boggs, Gregory Nierode; one great-grandchild, Vincent Alfonsi; and her two sisters-in-laws, Vera Thuemmler, of Elkhart Lake and Elaine Fiedler, of Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brother, Merlin Fiedler. A funeral service for Evelyn will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Reinbold Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan with Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers an Alzheimer's Association of SE WI memorial fund has been established in her name, 620 S. 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
