Butler, Eva Jean 10/22/1926 - 10/14/2016 Lowell, MI Eva Jean Fleming Butler, known as Jean to family and friends, was born October 22, 1926 to Devere Fleming and Elizabeth Mitchell Fleming who raised Jean in Detroit and Farmington, Michigan along with her elder siblings William, Robert, and Elizabeth. Growing up during the Great Depression, Jean learned that true wealth comes from the love, laughter, and music shared with family and friends; this lesson she practiced and shared throughout her years. Jean's gift of a beautiful soprano voice filled many homes and churches as she sang and taught generations favorite hymns and Christmas carols. After 17 years of battling emphysema, Jean passed peacefully to rejoin her beloved daughter Devera on Friday afternoon, October 14, 2016, surrounded by all her living children and several grandchildren. Continuing her legacy of love, laughter, and music are her six children and their spouses: Rae and Motiur Ullah, Marion Foster-Boardman, Shelley and Dianna Butler, Jean and Ken Billheimer, Mary and Joe Bommarito, and Dee and Nathan Bellini as well fourteen grandchildren: Jerrod and Kesha Ullah; Shawn, Jeremy and Shalane Butler; Ryan and Kyle Billheimer; Sarah Allchin and Lerin Bommarito; Joshua, Nicholas and Zachary Montano, Spencer and Quinn Bellini; along with thirteen great-grandchildren: Aiden, Alyssa, Brycen, Grant, Harlow, Hayli, Jackson, Kaylin, Lauren, Levi, Stellan, Tyler, and Vivien in addition to countless nieces and nephews. Her ultimate joy was her family and we will forever feel its presence and gift.
