LUCIANO, EUGENE F., 93, died Monday, October 17, 2016. He was the husband of the late Helen R. (McGetrick) Luciano, they would have celebrated their 66 wedding anniversary on October 21st. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Nicola and Celia (Nutuni) Luciano, he had been a resident of Warwick for 61 years. Mr. Luciano was employed as a driver salesman with Tip Top Bread for 30 years and had been employed with Warwick Housing Authority in maintenance at Meadowbrook Terrace for 8 years until retiring in 1988. A WWII Army veteran, he fought in Normandy and the Battle of the Rhineland as a member of Battery B, with the 407th Anti-aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion and was awarded 3 Bronze Stars. He was the beloved father of Edward F. Luciano (John F. FitzGerald), Gerald T. Luciano (Debra), and Mary E. Hanley (Robert); grandfather of Lisa, Nathan, Laura Luciano and Meghan Hanley; great grandfather of Ava and Emme Luciano; brother of Eva DiSaia and the late Josephine Mulvick, Leo and Louis Luciano. His funeral will be held Friday, October 21, at 8:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Clement Church, Long Street. Burial with military honors in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm.
