McCluskey Lawson, Epimenia Epimenia (Epy) McCluskey Lawson, age 72, was called home to the Lord on October 3, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Epy was born in Tarrytown, NY on January 2, 1944, daughter of the late Jose and Ermelinda Valasquez Ugalde. As a single mother, Epy, a Danbury resident since 1970, dedicated her life to raising her three children. She worked at Danbury Hospital for over 13 years in the chemistry lab, and after acquiring her Masters in Counseling at WCSU, she counseled the elderly at the Renewal House in Danbury. She went on to be the facilitator for the Danbury ESL Program (English as a Second Language) for 10 years. She dedicated herself to the ESL program, and before that, for 15 years held ESL classes in her home on a volunteer basis. Epy enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. The more the merrier. She and her husband Tim were very active members of the Jensen's lake community in Danbury where they lived for 16 years. She enjoyed helping her neighbors in any way she could and had great fun taking part in the community activities, being an active member of the board. Epy was an amazing wife and mom and will be greatly missed by her surviving husband Tim and three children; Robin, Jim and Philip McCluskey (Casey) and grandson James. A devout Christian, Epy enjoyed singing, worship and gatherings with her church family at Church of Christ. She dedicated her life to service and was always on the move in helping others. All are welcome to attend the Memorial Service held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Life Celebration Lunch and visiting time until 2:00 p.m. Join us at the Church of Christ, 90 Clapboard Ridge, Danbury, CT 06811.
