Emma L. Murray
Emma (Damato) Murray, age 88 years, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Lifecare Center in Plymouth, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph Murray, and the daughter of the late Reginald and Frances (Cimeno) Damato. Born in Boston, Emma lived for many years in Taunton and Stoughton before moving to Plymouth six years ago. She worked as a nurse at the Brockton Veteran's Hospital for many years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed singing, music and shopping, but most of all, Emma loved to spend time with her family. Emma is survived by her daughters Frances Smith and her husband David of Plymouth and Sandra Anderson and her husband Paul of Middleborough, her five grandchildren, Tatum and her husband Christian, Nicholas, Ian, Tracy, Tara, great grandchildren Carlisle and Kendall, her niece Karen Donovan and nephew Paul Donovan. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Donovan, and dear friend of the late Ed Toy. A funeral Mass will be held in St. Bonaventure's Church, 801 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet) on Monday at 10AM Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. . Interment in the National Cemetery of Massachusetts in Bourne will be private.
