Emma Mae James Princess Anne-Emma Mae James, 90, of Princess Anne made her heavenly transition on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin in Princess Anne. Born May 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mazie Curtis-Johnson. A lifelong resident of Princess Anne. "Aunt Bumpy" as she was affectionately known loved the Lord. She was a mother to many and was very devoted to her family and her church. She leaves to cherish fond memories with: three sons, Samuel, Jr., Dale, Sr. (Cheryl) and Maurice James, Sr.; four daughters, Sandra Horsey, Mary Jones (George), Patricia James and Gail Sykes (Andre); a host of grand, great grand and great great grandchildren; one sister, Margie Dickerson (Fenwick); two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Johnson and Crystal Morris (Warren, Sr.); a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel "Pipsie" James, Sr.; four brothers; three sisters and one son-in-law. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. James United Methodist Church in Westover, with a viewing one hour prior. A viewing will also be held 6-8 PM Friday at Mt. Hope A.M.E. Zion Church in Princess Anne. Interment will be in Mt. Hope A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery in Princess Anne. Funeral services entrusted to Anthony E. Ward, Jr. Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
