Emma H. Hale
MEDWAY — Emma H. Hale, 81, of Medway, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:58 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Grandview Medical Center, Dayton. She was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Knox County, Ky., to the late Garrett and Ohma (Jackson) Carnes. She married Buster R. Hale Feb. 5, 1994, in Piqua, and he survives. Other survivors include her special baby, Lisa (Rick) Hurst of Pendleton, Ind.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Millard (Dianne) Carnes of Sidney; two sisters, Sharon (James) Gambrel and Edith Brown, all of Barbourville, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Hale worked in a factory in Indiana for many years and with a flower shop for several years. She loved being outdoors, was an avid gardener and enjoyed making beautiful arrangements for others. Her faith was evidenced by her faithfulness to the Lord and association with Crossroad Church of God. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends. A service to honor her life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Lockington. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
