Emma Carrie Franklin Edgett Emma Carrie Franklin Edgett, age 95, passed peacefully at the home and in the loving care of her eldest daughter, Sarah Farmer, in Corpus Christi, Texas, January 1, 2018. Emma was born in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, August 25, 1922. She lived in Tennessee during her childhood and later in her senior years, with residences in northern California 1942-2008 as wife to John Edgett (deceased) and mother to children, Sarah, Martha and Wiley. Emma was a full-time servant to the community, a dedication that was fostered by her notable relationship with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Cooking and singing were two of her fortes, while her interests and expertise included remodeling, gardening, volunteer work, sharing her faith with others and recalling relevant scripture such as John 10:10; "I have come so that they might have life, and have it more abundantly." Emma was elated to receive visits from many of her children and grandchildren during the holiday season, including meeting her first great-great-grandson, Marshall Pilant, age 10 months! Emma's legacy is carried on through the lives of her children, Sarah Farmer, Martha Miller, and Wiley Edgett; grandchildren, Mary Pilant, Ruthe Farmer, Justin Farmer, Sarah Jerusha Mack, Brian Miller, Neil Miller, and Jennifer Jeffers; great-grandchildren, Rachel Pilant, Kevin Pilant, Jordan Jeffers, Izic Jeffers, Joshua Mack, Jasmine Mack, Madeleine Farmer, Julianne Farmer, and Kayleigh Miller; and great-great-grandson, Marshall Pilant. Private services and burial of her ashes will be held in Lower Lake, California in the Spring.
