Emily Pinkston Oak Ridge, TN Emily Irene Pinkston, 94, went home to be with her Lord on October 13, 2016, in Oak Ridge. As a young child, she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and a member of the Historical Preservation Association of Oak Ridge. Irene is survived by her three children, John R. Pinkston (Terri), of Wyoming, Ohio, Carolyn Heiskell, of Knoxville, Marquita Blanton (Lynn), of Oak Ridge. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, Laura Tate (Greg), Ft. Thomas, KY, and their children, Gracie, Dakota, Madaline, and Sawyer, Rob Pinkston (Erin), of Ft. Thomas, KY, and their children, McKenna, Rilen, Rafe, and Laila, Todd Heiskell, of Knoxville, Amy Allen, of Knoxville, and her children, Garrett, Kennedy, Kendall, and Addison, Scott Blanton, of Knoxville, and daughter, Olivia, of Madison, AL, Marissa Butler (Bill), of Knoxville and their children, Gavin and Scarlett. Irene is also survived by her brother, Jerome Stephens, of Ocala, FL; sisters, Carolyn Stooksbury, of Knoxville, and Betty Mobley, of Oak Ridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall Pinkston, of Colorado, Mary Goodman, Ohio, and Jack (Cora) Pinkston, of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rob Pinkston, Todd Heiskell, Scott Blanton, Dan Mobley, Michael Mobley, David Mobley, and Edward Stooksbury. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Central Baptist Church, 130 Providence Road, Oak Ridge, TN. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Glenn Ellis officiating.
