08/05/1927-10/16/2016 Emilie Kielwein Harbin 89 of Guntersville passed away Sunday morning October 16, 2016. Emilie was born in Innsbruck Austria and raised in Linz. After finishing Teacher's College, she met Frank Harbin while he served in Austria, married and moved to the U.S. They were stationed in multiple places around the world over 30 years in the Army. She was and English Teacher and finished her career as an Administrative Assistant at Redstone Arsenal. They enjoyed their second home on Guntersville Lake, traveling extensively and visiting numerous friends they met in military life. She was active in her church choir, German Wive's Club and Guntersville Lake Homemakers Club. She was an avid reader, a serious Bingo player and a fierce Scrabble player. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Emilie is survived by her sons; Dr, Karl W. Harbin (Mary Jane) and Frank Harbin Jr. (Kim), grandchildren: Laura Allison Harbin, Bradley Wayne Harbin, Whitney Marie Harbin Jackson (Nathan), Spencer Forrest Harbin and William Sayres Harbin. Great grandchildren: Bennett Franklin Jackson, Avery Faye Jackson and Allie Grace Jackson. Emilie is preceded in death by her Husband: Command Sgt.Major Frank Harbin, parents: Emil and Maria Kielwein, granddaughter: Laura Allison Harbin. Pallerers: Tommy Snow, Bradley Harbin, Sayres Harbin,Spencer Harbin and Nathan Jackson. Visitation was held Monday evening, October 17, 2016 at Guntersville Memorial Chapel Graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Ashbank Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Nauvoo, Alabama ...
