She attended a nursing college in the fox valley upon graduation. She married Ira Walter Katch in 1951, moved to Green Bay and had 4 children - Rachel, Jonathan, Carriel and Harry. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse from 1963 until the mid 70's when she returned to college and pursued her Bachelors and Masters degree from St. Norbert's College. She loved to play bridge and go to East High School Football games, in spite of the wishes of her children. In 1980, she married her long time boyfriend, William Kehoe and moved from Green Bay to Lake Geneva, where she started her company HomeCare Network in her living room. She ran HomeCare Network and Pinecrest, a CBRF co-located on the intersection of County H and NN for more than a decade. Ellyn was elected to the Council as First District Alderperson in 2007 and 2010 to 2015 and served on numerous committees. She was appointed as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in April of 1991 and was re-appointed every three years for 24 years. She was a positive and inspiring person who always had a smile on her face. Ellyn distinguished herself as a faithful and dedicated alderperson committed and passionate for the City of Lake Geneva. The City Staff offers our condolences to her family and friends. Ellyn loved the Green Bay Packers and cheered the team on every Sunday! She was a fan going back to the 40's when her father managed the Rockwood Lodge Training Camp and was their chef. She loved to talk about that time and share stories about many of the Packer legends. Ellyn loved to paint and to play the piano. She loved her dogs - Wilma and Oliver and was often seen walking them around Lake Geneva. But most of all, she loved her children, grand children and great-grandchildren. Her family will be holding a Celebration of Life on May 7th, from 1PM to 3PM at the Lake Geneva Library Park. Her ashes will be scattered near Rockwood Lodge, Dyckesville, Wisconsin. Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, WI. assisted the family with the arrangements.
