Ellis S. Isabelle
BARRE TOWN - A Mass of Christian burial and celebration of life for Ellis S. Isabelle, 84, of Green Mountain View Drive, was held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. He passed away on Jan. 4, 2017. The Rev. Peter O'Leary, pastor of the church, was the celebrant. Crucifer Fred Letourneau was altar server and led the prayer of the faithful. Organist and vocalist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalists Romeo Bilodeau, Winston Davis and Ronald Routhier in the hymns, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace," "Be Not Afraid," "Song of Farewell" and "Let There Be Peace on Earth." Soloist Rosemary Badeau sang "Ave Maria." Scripture readings from the Old Testament and New Testament were read by Brian Temme, grandson, and Michelle Ploegman, granddaughter. Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Ellis's granddaughters, Michelle Ploegman, Leanne Isabelle and Caroline Isabelle. Words of remembrance were shared by Matthew Temme, grandson. Pallbearers were William Temme, son-in-law, Matthew Temme, grandson, Brian Temme, grandson, David Ploegman, grandson-in-law, Donald Isabelle, nephew, and Mark Isabelle, nephew. Following the Mass, burial took place in Hope Cemetery where Father O'Leary led the committal prayers. Family and friends gathered at the Steak House Restaurant for a luncheon and fellowship. Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., in Barre.
