YAGODA Ella, passed away on October 17, 2016. Born in 1921 to Meyer and Sarah Dytchel in Manchester, England, she grew up in Passaic, NJ from the age of 3. After graduating from NYU, Ella taught piano. Later, she was a substitute teacher in the public schools of Fair Lawn, NJ, where she and her loving husband Howard (d. 2004) raised their children. Ella served many organizations as a leader or volunteer, including Congregation B'nai Israel, Hadassah and The Daughters of Miriam. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, her sister Rae, her brothers Joe and Abe, and by her adored son Jeffrey in 1972. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Eileen Yagoda and Ross Brann, her cherished grandchildren Amir and Allon (Leah), and by loving nieces and nephews. Ella's last few years were spent at Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale where, thanks to the wonderful staff and her fellow residents, she continued to enjoy a rich and meaningful life. Funeral service at Louis Suburban Chapel in Fair Lawn, Wednesday October 19 at 2 PM followed by internment at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus.
