Elizabeth (Betty) M. Smith 1927 - 2016 WESTMORELAND/NEW HARTFORD - Elizabeth (Betty) M. Smith, 89, of Westmoreland, died October 14, 2016, at the Presbyterian Home. She was born April 4, 1927, in Ogdensburg, NY, daughter of John and Effie (Derbyshire) Fournier. She graduated from UFA. Betty married Glenn A. Smith on August 4, 1948, in New Hartford. He died in 1995. She was a cafeteria aide at Westmoreland High School. She was also a volunteer at the Westmoreland Town Library. Betty was a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. She was a seamstress and enjoyed crafts, knitting, playing cards, playing Bingo at the Meadows and especially enjoyed playing golf, with her husband, everywhere. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Noti, of New Hartford; her son, Michael (Lisa) Smith, Tuscon, AZ; grandchildren, Robert (Tamara) Noti, NC, John (Mirela) Noti, Utica, Patrick (Julie) Noti, Lee Center, NY, Joshua and Trevor Smith, AZ; her great-grandchildren, John-Arif, Nadim, Glenn, and Leah Noti; and her brother, Larry Fournier, CA. She was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Runge and June Jones; and brothers, Jack and Ronald Smith. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Annunciation, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
