ANGELONE, ELIZABETH CHRISTINE Elizabeth Christine “Betty” Angelone, 79, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Wallingford, wife of Leroy Angelone, passed away peacefully January 9, 2017 at The Connecticut Hospice surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 27, 1937, daughter of the late Eric O. Wilson and Margaret M. Wilson. Betty worked as a travel agent for many years at A&S Fiore Travel in West Haven. Among her many passions she was an avid sports fan of the UConn Women’s Basketball team and a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed traveling, practicing and teaching astrology, competing in scrabble tournaments and was a passionate dog lover. Betty loved books and was a prolific reader. She was an active volunteer with meals on wheels, hospice, and guardian ad litem. Most important to Betty was her husband Roy, her love of family and countless friendships, many of which were lifelong. Betty and Roy spent their summers in CT at “the cottage” on Whirlwind Hill Rd in Wallingford, which they thought of as their second home. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Karen Angelone and her husband Ron Cewe of Wallingford; her sons, Rick Angelone of Wallingford, Allen Angelone and his wife Betsy of Cheshire, and Christopher Angelone and his wife Liz of Hamden; her sister, Barbara Ann Wilson of Milford; her brother, Steven Wilson of Grand Prarie, TX; and her grandchildren, Kristen Cewe, Kelly Angelone, Eric Angelone, Daniel Flynn, and Ryan and Christopher Angelone, who referred to her as Ana. She was predeceased by her late brother, Eric Erhardt Wilson. Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon with a time of remembrance to take place at 12 noon in the funeral home.
