KANE - Elijah J. "Eli" McCloskey, 27, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Kane, died Tuesday evening (Jan. 10, 2017) at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 18, 1989, in St. Marys, he was the son of James M. and Jackie L. Johnson McCloskey. Eli was employed by Focus Optical Precision Alignment in Texarkana, Texas. He enjoyed BMX Freestyle bike riding, was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a deep appreciation of nature. Surviving are his mother Jackie L. (Bud Bifano) Johnson of Shippenville; his father, James M. (Nancy) McCloskey of Kane; sister, Angie (Paul) Hultman of Kane; and his twin brother, Jake McCloskey of Pittsburgh. A niece and nephew, Lilly and Chase Hultman, and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc. from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and may attend a celebration of his life there at 11 a.m. Saturday. Cremation and interment of his cremated remains will follow at a date and place to be announced.
