In memory of
Elias Ramirez Elias Ramirez Zarate, was born December 7, 1959 to J. Guadalupe and Arcelia Ramirez in El Tepehuaje, Jalisco. At the age of seven, he immigrated to the U.S. with his family. In 1967 they arrived in Oceano and then moved to Arroyo Grande a few years later. His family lived and worked at Talley Farms for many years where he learned and honed the business of agriculture. After many years Elias was able to pursue the American Dream and became an entrepreneur as a grower of fruits and vegetables alongside his brothers. His passion and dedication for agriculture kept him in the business his entire life. He was hardworking and diligent about his work. He would speak about the peace that he felt when he was around the fields. Elias was equally a compassionate man and his affections were paramount. He sincerely loved and cared for everyone around him. He beamed of joy when he spoke about his kids and expressed how profoundly proud of them he truly was. His caring, warm and loving heart as a father, son, brother and uncle were second to none. One of his greatest qualities was his ability to make friends everywhere he went. He spoke with ease and in any given place he could win over the room and create lifelong friendships. People would gravitate to him and were guaranteed to laugh and feel a sincere connection and true friendship. He was full of charisma and drew people in with his lively personality. Elias loved dancing and making everyone laugh while singing his very unique version of "queremos pastel." He would inspire everyone to truly enjoy and savor every moment. He was and always will be the shining light of our family. Elias is survived by his wife Laura Teresa Ramirez; children: Laura (fiance Anthony), Elias and Xavier Ramirez; granddaughter Aliyah Ramirez; and a grandson on the way. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has now joined his parents J. Guadalupe and Arcelia Ramirez and brother Hector Ramirez in God's arms. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Patrick's Church at 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2017. The funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church at 10:00 am, Friday, February 17, followed by interment at the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Moreno Mortuary.
