MAGALETTI, Elia Joseph Tucson resident, Elia Joseph Magaletti, born to Fulgenzio and Maria (DiStefano) Magaletti, on November 2, 1930, in Yonkers, NY, journeyed to eternal life on February 6, 2017. Mr. Magaletti is survived by his wife, Josephine (D'Addario); sons, Enzio (Amzell), Ted (Linda), John, Joseph (Terri), daughter, Marialuisa Oliva; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Elia retired from NY Central Railroad after 39 years of service, relocating to Tucson in 1990. He was a member of the Thornwood, NY, Volunteer Fire Department, a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Italian American Club. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and bocce and was a volunteer for many local charities. Elia was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by all. There will be a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross. Arrangements by BRING'S FUNERAL HOME.
