KINGMAN, Elenor Ruth Elenor Ruth (Chew) Kingman, age 86, died Saturday, December 31, 2016, in Richardson, Texas after struggling with Alzheimer's. She was born to George and Charlotte (Perry) Chew on July 6, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, George and Charlotte; her sister Sandra Bell; and her husband of 41 years, Robert L. Kingman. Ruth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Ronald Freitag of Rowlett, Texas; son, David Kingman of Barrington, Illinois; grandchildren, Cory and Cody Freitag, and Jenna and Justin Kingman. Throughout her life, she was a volunteer with her children's school activities and the girl scouts. She was also an active member of her church community and involved with the women's group, choir, Sunday school, and childcare programs at the Riverside United Methodist Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio (1985-2010) and the First United Methodist Church of Oak Park in Illinois (1968-1984). She also spent many years as a member of the Riverside Methodist Hospital Sewing Guild in Columbus, Ohio. Her body was donated to the UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas for research. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
