Eleanor Minna Manitz Loucks Mrs. Eleanor Minna Manitz Loucks entered into eternal life on March 12, 2017, at GreenHill in West Orange, N.J. A lifelong resident of West Orange, N.J., Eleanor was born on Jan. 20, 1928, in Orange, N.J., to Minna Dzubiel Manitz and Emil Manitz. She graduated from West Orange High School in 1946. She was employed as a switchboard operator and supervisor for New Jersey Bell, retiring after 30 years in 1976. Eleanor was married in 1974 to Maynard "Red" Loucks, who preceded her in death in 2001. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. She was a member of Watchung Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield, N.J., and an active member of the Glen Ridge Senior Citizens. Eleanor is survived by her sister, Louise Manitz Behringer, and four nieces, Linda Derych (Donald), Nina Loiodice (Vito), Pamela Garrett (Nevin), and Janice Calandra (Leo). Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, ( proutfuneralhome.com ) 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona, N.J., on Friday, March 17, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair, N.J.
