May 20, 1926 - October 9, 2016 Eleanor (Hancock) Goins, 90, passed away on October 9, 2016 at home with her family around her. Eleanor was born on May 20, 1926 in Snoqualmie Falls, Washington. She was the eldest child of Esther and Michael Joseph Hancock. She had three brothers, John Hancock, Michael Hancock and Donald Hancock. Her family moved to Everett, Washington where Eleanor graduated high school from Everett High in 1944. She joined the workforce as a Telegram operator for Western Union; she worked her way to Office Manager positions for several Western Union offices during her 29 years of employment. Eleanor continued to work an additional 15 years for ELDEC Corporation in Lynnwood, Washington. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bright Eugene Goins; daughter, Judy Ann (Goins) Wick; son-in-law, Jim Wick; oldest brother, John Hancock; and her parents. She is survived by her sons, Randy Goins, Don Goins; and daughter, Kay (Goins) Wright; son-in-law, Micheal Wright; brothers, Michael and Donald Hancock; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will honor her with a service being held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood, WA, Saturday, October 15, 2016. A viewing is scheduled from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and service to begin at 10:30 a.m.
